Alpha Helix Advises Medica Group PLC on the Acquisition of Global Diagnostics Ireland

Alpha Helix Corporate Finance, the UK Healthcare focussed lower/mid-market advisors, are delighted to announce the completion of the acquisition of Global Diagnostics Ireland and Global Vision (Global Assets) by Medica Group PLC. Alpha Helix worked on behalf of Medica Group PLC as exclusive buy-side corporate finance advisors on the deal.

Global Diagnostics Ireland (GDI) provides teleradiology and radiology services throughout hospitals, university and doctors medical practices across the country. They currently operate c. 50 clinical sites across Ireland and employ c. 140 staff nationwide. Global Vision is a Digital Photography and Grading Services Provider for the HSE National Diabetic Retinal Screening Programme.

For Medica the acquisition represents a diversification of customer base, geographical operations and an entry into a new service area of ophthalmology and retinopathy screening services which is inline with their revised strategy announced in March of this year.

Medica Group Plc acquired the Global Assets from Centric Health a portfolio company of Five Arrows Principal Investments.
